    Clutch wont do sh*t...

Won't engage or if engaged won't disengage.
Sometimes engaged bike barely moves, sometimes disengaged, bike barely moves...

    well duh...

    clutch 2.jpg

...as pulled out of my GS1000 today. I believe the clutch cable routing played a major roll in this failure.
Amazing nothing else is damaged except my pride, and pocket book LOL.
    Current:
    1993 ZX11 - 2nd build in progress
    1977 GS750 (710 is getting closer)

Yes it does but... a GS1000 engine in a GS750 frame with GSXR front suspension and the stock GS750 controls. Lets throw in the Triumph Bonneville seat pan and... which manual do I use

You could do a Hertfelder (We all remember the Duct Tapes, don't we?) and reline the plates with sheet cork and contact cement. After you JBWeld the pieces back together, that is.

The GS 1000 one, of course
I'm pretty sure the 750 one is the same

I have never seen a broken clutch plate.
                    What were you doing confess!

Is the clutch basket grooved up and otherwise worn?I used to do fun quarter mile runs on an abandoned airstrip as a kid and it was really freaky the first time my clutch overheated and failed to disengage at the end of a run.

Odlly for all the abuse its the same clutch same pack after all these years.
