Honda master cyl. rebuild. no OEM parts

Looking for parts to rebuild a buddy's Honda CB1100F rear master cyl. Very few of the parts are still available OEM. Anyone had good luck with a particular brand aftermarket M/C rebuild kit. "All Balls Bearings co". is out. I ordered a kit from them for a GS1100E, & it had appx. 1/2 correct parts & 1/2 incorrect parts. Thanks for any help.

K&L master cylinder kit where the zinc piston plunger was out of round and scraping the master bore. I had to true it up in a lathe because Z1 told me to pound sand when I told them about the problem.

K&L caliper piston seals, two different model calipers, where the fit to the piston was too tight and wouldn't allow the piston to move close enough to the disc resulting in a spongy lever feel.

K&L float needles with weak springs which compress under the weight of the float.

K&L valve shims which where not hardened properly and were not flat. Z1 stop selling them for about a year until K&L fixed the problem...but what about all the crap shims out in people's engines and toolboxes?

Na, I've still got mine. I've been lucky, other than pads & fluid flush every now & then my brakes have been great. We rebuilt his rear caliper a couple of yrs. ago, now it's the rear master. Thank ya'll for the input, Now I'll let him make the decision N"Old"S, or newer aftermarket. Oh yeah, "83" was the only yr. for the U.S. CB1100F's.

My recommendation for K&L was only for the master cylinder rebuild kits.
Have not used the other products that Ed mentioned.

He decided on the K&L kit. All correct parts, the seal (cup) was not on the piston. Big pain in the butt getting the seal on the piston correctly, lip kept folding under instead of sliding on flush against the shaft, took several tries but finally went correctly. One odd thing, we never found a "stop" for the pedal anywhere. When the pedal comes back up, it stops only when the spring on the piston slams the piston assembly against the snap ring that holds it all together. Hope we didn't miss something.
