    GS750 to GS1000 Engine Swap

My GS750 is a little weary and the fifth gear is on its way out. The whole bike needs a bit of a makeover and I want to do the GS1000 engine swap and a couple other upgrades. I have a potential donor motor from a forum member. The plan is to gather all the parts through the summer/fall and then have it be a winter project.

My main question is around the necessary engine mount modifications. I'm hoping somebody somebody can confirm the following:

    1. Front engine mounts can be used as is.
    2. Left bottom mount needs to be removed and a new one welded on.
    3. Right bottom mount plate fabricated.
    4. Top rear mounting plates need to be fabricated.
    5. Bottom Rear mounting plates can be used as is.

Specifically, I want to know whether #5 is true. If so, the others should be pretty easy since I can bolt #1 and #5 in and then take measurements for everything else. Assuming I end up going through with it, I'll use this as my "build thread" and hope to share my specs for the mounting plates after it's all said and done.

Bump on this. Any leads on who's done the swap?

The four rear trans mounts are the same.
The mid mounts are further back on the 750
The front mount is longer and has a 35mm offset to the left on the 1000.

I have a good 750 motor if you need parts.
