Painted and cleared seat trim tonight. Thought i was gonna get away with just spot sanding a few dust nibs and polish out the parts......but nope!!! Just one tiny tiny sag in the right side of the tank. Can easily be sanded away. Heck i even debated in just leaving it completely alone because it looks that good. Guess ill be wet sanding this weekend....

So today I polished up the headlight trim, signals, and rear covers for the guages. Heres two pics of the chassis before tearing it down for the frame repainting. All the chrome shined up like day one.....amazing. Removed lower end from the frame as well.

First round of paint stripper got the frame about 95% clean. Spot applications tomorrow and it "should" be pretty well ready. May have to wire wheel a few spots too. Then i can pull the wheels, forks, swing arm etc etc and start the rebuild process.

Frames cleaned off. Still need to remove the front end and swingarm to strip these components. Ill post pics periodically but its the "same old same old" i always do. In the mean time, see thw parts wanted section for my need of a cylinder block. Thanks.

Today i removed wheels, forks, and swing arm. Then painted frame, battery box ( which had been sand blasted ), and all the other bits and pieces that are supposed to be black. Then i cleaned the headlight bucket and both sections of the rear fender. Used VHT plastic paint to paint these parts. Still need to rehab the swing arm and center stand. Soon be ready to start reassembling it..........

Scrubbed the wiring harness and installed that today. Installed all the electronics on the panel by the battery box and installed ignition switch. Used wire wheel on bench grinder to spiffy up a pile of hardware. Just about to the point in my process to shine up fork lowrs and engine covers.....let the dirtyness begin.
