    Saddle bags

Does anybody know if the better hard saddle bags from a gs850g will bolt on to a gs850glz ?
looking at buying some and was holding it would be easy.

You will have to define "better hard saddle bags from a gs850G".

There was only one (sorta) factory option at the time, the Calafia saddlebags. They would have needed slightly different mounts, but they would fit either the G or the L.

As far as any other "hard saddle bags", it's probably the same, you will need different mounts.

What bags are you trying to fit, and I'm presuming you have an L?

They are vetter bags, and yes I do have GLZ all the research I’ve done so far has them fitting perfectly, so I’m just going to go for it.

At least the Vetter bags were widespread enough for you to find any brackets needed, but it will probably be a simple enough job.

Yes, Vetter stuff is common enough, it should not be a problem. At the worst, you may have to weld a tab on the frame near the rear footpeg to help anchor the brace that comes down from the Vetter frame.
