    Resistance is futile (or infuriating!!)

I just got ripped off by an Ebay seller who listed B8ES plugs but sent me BR8ES. When I queried it he gave me the old "they no longer make the B8ES and the BR8ES is the equivalent". Clearly a bait and switch exercise but given that it I'd have to spend half what they cost to send them back I decided to keep them and leave negative feedback.

Using helpful info I found on this forum, I decided to order replacement plug caps, bypass the resistor, and use them with the BR8ES plugs. The XB05F versions have the little screw you can remove to access the resistor but to my dismay I found the the VB05F version has the resistor molded in (no removable screw). Anyone else run into this problem and if so what was the solution? Just wondering if there's more than one version of the VB05F out there?

Initiate a return and toggle "doesn't match description or photos." Once you do that it's the sellers responsibility to pay the return shipping.

I'd return them too. There isn't another workaround unless you replace all the coil wires with non resistor type...

It is preferred to have some resistance in the ignition system.
There are three places where it can be introduced:
        1. wires
        2. caps
        3. plugs

You can have the resistance anywhere you want, but it should be only ONE.

The stock system has solid (non-resistor) wires, resistor caps and non-resistor plugs.

Not just ebay I ordered B8ES from Z1 and got BR8ES when I called them they told me they don't make B8ES more. When I pointed out that they are still available on Amazon
he said we don't stock them anymore. He said I could return them but i would have to pay retune shipping. It is no wonder that these places are loosing business to other places with good customer service

Where are others getting B8ES plugs from? None of the auto parts stores around me (Advanced + Autozone) stock them anymore. Amazon lists B8ES spark plugs but recent reviews state that they're receiving resistor plugs.

I just bought 12 of the B8ES plugs from PartsFish online through my local dealership. They are available.
