    Pingel air-shifter mounting

Looking for recommendations on mounting a Pingel air-shifter. I read the install instructions and talked to a couple folks, but want to confirm.

Am I correct in thinking that the air-shifter should be mounted only at the far-end of the cylinder? (That'd be the ~8mm through-hole at the "far end" of the cylinder.)

There are some large (~17mm) threads at the "business end" of the cylinder that could easily be mounted to a bracket, but it sounds like the cylinder may want to pivot at the "far end", and the large threads should NOT be used to mount the cylinder.

That's how mine was....Just the pivot bolt.

And set it up so that when the piston in the cylinder is at the end of its travel, is also the end of travel for the shift lever. That way it is not being pulled to far. (easier on parts)
