I am looking at the universal brake
    fluid thing:

    t-Line-Universal/143500462793?hash=item21694b4ac9:g:EOcAAOSw1BxeGCS o

I have been looking at it for an hour and for the
life of me I cannot see how it connects ?
how does it connect to the brake fluid system
    on front brake ?

electric contacts I am sure easy to sort but
where does it connect to sense brake fluid ?
    it is clearly impossible ?

aha you put it directly onto the caliper !
This one explains it for dullards like me !

I'm gon a buy from china and see what happens.
Damned shame they dont add the adjoining electric connector
with it. I'll have to remove and buy two new ones
      and fit.
      will report

I am gonna have a lie down !!!
Of course it will fit on the top reservoir ....
        over the original banjo bolt.

I tell you this has messed up brain power

Yes, that's where mine are-up on the handlebar, into the master cylinder. They replace the bolt there and the wires can plug right in where the old switch did.

It wouldn't occur to me to put 'em down on the calipers- I'd have to add wiring to run up the forks! And there's more crapola blowing around down there too

I ask due to laziness in hope someone knows the
thread of the banjo bolt on front brake ?

            m10 * 1.25 or m10*1.0 ?

if not I have to move a mountain of boxes to get at my spares ....
Save me from that horror ?

99.99999999% sure your Banjo bolts would be 10 x 1.000. Suzuki moved to 1.25 later. But you could always check one of yours at the hardware store in a gauge.

You can’t replace it if you don’t take it off. If ya don’t take it off, ya can’t measure it. If ya don’t measure it, you can’t KNOW.

yes, 10mm. But I hate to be the guy that tells him wrong too. Who really knows if he has OEM MasterCylinder? But you don't have to take it off, just unscrew it enough to measure with a rag under for drips.... Top up MC after. DO avoid drips onto paint.

                      Ok.... was just a thought....

My gut feeling is it would be m10*1.25.

There is no way you can measure thread without
                      removing it.

I want to order before I remove it
                      (there are 2 options)
as want to use the bike and it is a
standard Stabdard reservoir) troublesome bike to bleed.

Not a problem I'll dig into my stock
mountain or remove it and find out.

Ok. I just measured a spare I have and the pitch is 1.00. It is off my '79 GS1000 which subs to the same PN as your bikes.

Yes, original GS banjo bolts are M10 x 1.

Since the start of this thread was because your M/C has the batty GS switch mechanism, we can probably safely assume it's original.

Later model M/Cs use a somewhat more sane switch design and usually have a M10x1.25 thread.

And I think the other brands mostly used M10x1.25 all along, but it's best to take a peek if you're swapping bits around.

Many thanks and I can confirm (not that it needs confirming )
but by own hand finding from my parts mountain my
spare reservoir body and banjo bolt that it is
                            m10 * 1.0. (for both gsx250 and gs550e all standard)

I will now order 2 with the standard Japanese bullet
                            connectors .
I can barely wait to fit and will update as for
me it either works perfectly or is rubbish.

It works !!!!! I am totally converted to this device now.

Took the time to renew brake fluid too.
Simple to put on as takes the place of the
                                original banjo bolt (m10*1.0).
It came with 2 washers and had the correct
Male jap connectors that go into front light.

It worked ! This on my GSX that had the intermittent
brake light issue due to crud in that mechanism.
I'll order another for my GS.

[on a separate note in doing this I lost
the internal mechanism on the floor so yet again ended up
on my knees with a torch looking for that damned
                                internal connector....
                                Hopefully never again
bagged up said connector and hope to never see it again.
