I just purchased a 10mm ID black hose off of Ebay that works well. I would think you could find it in the UK.

When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!

I've seen them replaced with garden hose. That works but looks pants. Breather hose from old BSAs / Triumphs fits and is a lot cheaper.

I bought the stock one once, was for the 850G so that makes it almost 20 years ago. Anyway, at that time anyway, in US, it was a bulk length, long enough to make at least 3 of them.

Had 850G for 14 years. Now have GK since 2005.

HI, just thought I would mention that industrial hose supply outfits carry just about every kind of hose, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4'' silicone hose ect. Most larger towns have at least one, for example Newline, Greenline. You can check their websites. Not all will deal with the public. What I do is go in at a not too busy time with cash in hand, knowing exactly what I want. Just remember they are use to selling by the roll, 100' ect. It has worked for me in the past.

Good idea but gaffa tape on end split is working
                  and does the job.
                  But noted .
Due to new tyre on front needed all surplus
like to haves , on hold.

I can however continue full investigation of engine 2
which we all can mull over the analysis ......

3/8" ID hose is too small (3/8" works out to about 9.5mm) for the 11mm fittings, but if you find something reasonably stretchy and push hard enough you can make it work.

7/16" (11.1mm) tubing exists, but it's not going to be on the shelf at your local parts shoppe or hardware store; most skips from 3/8" to 1/2".

I've never really figured out why proper metric hose is so &^%$#@ hard to find in the US of A unless you order from McMaster-Carr, but that's another rant for another day, I guess... not sure whether it's any easier in the UK.
