    Engine weight

Hey all. Does anyone have a rough idea on what the weight of a 16V 1100 engine would be?

My memory says 211 lbs with carb rack or roughly 190 more or less without. In any event, you can call it about 200 lbs.

Funny. I've been wondering the same thing but about the GS850 engine.

Sorry I am late to the party. I have just started a project build and have my 1981 GSX1100 Katana engine on the scale. Stock complete engine with 34mm CV carbs fitted - (no airbox just carbs), starter motor, all cases and 630 front sprocket, no engine oil, no oil filter.

        Total weight = 93.22 kg.

        Cheers.
