    Carb rebuild only 2 cylinders fire

    I have a previously running 1982 gs750t that had a gas leak from the fuel connectors between carbs 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. I ordered the cycle O-rings kit and disassembled, dipped, and reassembled each carb and I have no leaks! Problem is cylinders 3 & 4 don't fire with or without choke. I loosened the drain plugs of their bowls and they both had gas. I checked the spark plugs, and they were bone dry. Any tips where to look/diagnose? I was planning on taking 3 & 4 apart and checking the idle circuits.

    It's still blocked somewhere it seems... Did you follow the "how to" and pull out the emulsion tubes and everything?

      You "disassembled, dipped, and reassembled" the carbs.

      How fully did you disassemble?
      How long did you "dip"?
      What are your settings for the pilot screws?

        I once managed to put the floats on upside down and got the same result....

          2) Dipped each body/bits for an hour as it was running fine before and they haven't seen ethanol gas
          3) 2.5 turns out

            Yep I followed the CV Rebuild guides on Bike Cliff's site.

              An hour is likely not enough with today’s chemicals. Should be at least six but I have left mine in over night

                Well turns out you were right. Removed all the delicate bits again and dipped over night and it did the trick
