    1150 transmission question

Hey all. Hoping someone can clarify something regarding this transmission. I'm doing what appears to be a common installation, i.e putting an 1150 tranny in an 1100 motor. I've already read a number of really informative threads regarding this topic but before I close the casings on my 1100e I'd like to be sure that all is ok. At the end of the countershaft is an aluminum plug with a small hole. I'm guessing its for lubrication. Can I leave that as is, or do I need to have it plugged..?

If this has already been addressed in a previous post apologies for not seeing it. If you can please point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

    Thanks in advance

Certainly no expert, but I seem to recall that the the tooth count on the clutch hub between the 1100 and 1150 are different. If you have that sorted, great, if not, a good thing to verify as well.

When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

Thanks for that dorkburger. I am actually using the 1100e clutch basket being turned by the orig 1100 crank so that won't be a problem. Had everything dry fitted the other day and all looks good. No binding or stiff gear changes. My only concern, if you can really call it that is what to make of that perforated plug.

      Anyway, I appreciate the input.
