air screw and pilot screw settings

    Hi all,

Where/how can I find the setting for air and pilot screw for GS1000 1979?

Do I need a special tool to set it up?

    tks

Bottom pilot screws 7/8 out from gently seated and then forget they exist. Air screws at 1 1/2 out from seated as a start. Then youll adjust air screws only to get the best burn in the jugs. I use my COLORTUNE on my VM powered bikes to get the perfect mixture.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Helpful image for air screw tuning, from the Mikuni VM Manual:

      airflow.jpg

I laminated a copy of this and glued it into the inside lid of my toolbox.
