    1983 GS1100E stock shock length?

The '83 GS1100E that I rescued from being a drag bike has what seems to me to be extra-long rear shocks. Makes it sit too high in the rear for me.

These shocks are 14" from the center of the eye-to-center of the bolt hole????

Anyone know what size the stock shocks were on these when they left the factory?

    Thanks,
    Ron
When I die, just cremate me and put me in my GS tank. That way I can go through these carbs, one more time!

    Should be 13” from memory.
I run 13.5” on mine. (It’s a 1000 but should be the same as the swing arms interchange) Like it a lot. Have to put a block under the side stand is all.
