Default GS100OG seat base common to chain drive GS1000?

Anyone able to confirm if a gs1000e seat fits a gs1000g, or if a gs850 one fits?

    Thanks Nick

I cant answer that specifically, but I can say that most GS seats prior to 82 had hinges on side and latch on on other side, and 82 and after had latch on back and mounting brackets on front.

Had 850G for 14 years. Now have GK since 2005.

    PS
Would be good for you to add your model/year in your signature line (goto ControlPanel). THen that shows up in your every post, and folks will know what model&year you are concerned about.

GS1000G and GS850 of 1979 to 81 share the seat.

The part diag for the 1000E shows the same fastening hardware, but I don't know if the spacing is the same.
