    Default Shindengen fh020aa

    Hi
    I have a GS750 1977 and have just been given one of the above
    Can I just wire it in to the old bullet connectors or do I need to do more
    thank you

    You can wire it like shown in this link. That units a shunt type R/R, not the good series type like the SH775.

    It will work okay. If your bike is pumping out a lot of watts it will create more than it can use and the excess gets returned to the stator where it creates heat. With an older and weaker stator this won't be a problem though.

    Get a GENUINE SH775, not a copy. Do it once & do it right. It's not expensive.

    Dude's in UK. SH775's are hard to come by over there. Also as mentioned, if it's the original stator it won't be over charging anyway.

    Good info Nessism. I'm guessing the FH009AA on the shelf probably won't be the best with a new stator.

    The test in the wiring diagram Is that just on tickover or when revving ?
    My reading is under 0.3 on tickover but goes above when I rev the engine
