    79 gs1000 swing arm in a 78 750?

Have the parts available. Looks as though the rear is longer and can stuff a wider tire. I’ve also got the complete front fork assembly as well. Just don’t know if it’s a direct bolt on or a can of worms fabrication wise. Thanks for any help.

The pivot bolt for the 1000 wing arm is larger diameter than the 750. The 1000 arm is about 1 1/2 inches longer also.

Don’t mind the length much. I guess it’s a drill and rebush kinda deal then. What about the front assembly?

The 78 750 will have ball bearings in the steering stem and the 79 1000 will have tapered roller bearings. The longer swing arm Will require a longer chain.

If you're going to put the 1000 swingarm in then why not put an 1100E one in there instead? It will fit anywhere a 1000 one will, they are interchangeable.....
