    1979 gs 1000e crankcase vent

    Can anyone tell me where on the crankcase it is vented ?

    To the best of my knowledge the 1000 isn't vented any differently to the 850, ie, through the top cap on the valve cover.
    However, some people have installed a breather pipe on a converted oil filler cap, and ran that to a catch bottle.

      Yep right on top of the valve cover, vented into the airbox if you have one. Otherwise it's out to the atmosphere or a cannister.

        I was aware of the one on top of the valve cover but figured there might be one on the crankcase to.
