    Shifter shaft sleeve/guide

When I pulled my old cover off of my GS650G for restoration, I noticed there was a guide pressed in in the hole where the shifter shaft goes through, I figured I needed to replace it and removed it, I went to partshark and ordered one with the p/n:04211-09129. On the digram it looked like that's what I needed. When it arrived it appeared to be a dowel pin. Obviously I discarded the old guide, and now I am wondering why is it not available for order, and maybe it is not meant to be replaced which is really odd. Anyone ever replaced it?
Couple of images of the cover without the guide:

Suzuki doesn't typically sell parts like that since it's not intended to be a service part. Your best bet is to either make a new bushing on a lathe or buy a new/used cover.

If you make one up. any of the machinable plastics will work. Make it a loose fit too. Alignment once the cover is on isn't exact.
It doesn't carry any load to speak of, it's just an outrigger stabilising the shaft end.
