    metal choke collars???

    Wasnt someone making these out of metal a few years ago? Anyone know if they are stillavailable?

    I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

    How much are you willing to pay chuck? I can make some but they won't be cheap.

      IDEALLY i would like to change them on all 5 of my 1000s. So 25 is my dream number. but your wont be cheap bid makes me think i will need to rob a bank first.

        Saw the title of the thread and was thinking of one of those fancy little boutiques you see advertised in the back pages of a local "Alt" newspaper.

          There were some available made from aluminium a few years back.
          Easy to make if you have a lathe.
          There's a reason the stock ones are made from Nylon though as it actually wears less than aluminium where the lifter arm contacts and also won't suffer from bimetal corrosion .
          The stock Nylon ones are still available new from Niche Cycles etc.

            I made some for my 33mm smoothbores from 10mm brass hex bar. No issues with bimetal corrosion, they will last for years because its not like they are constantly moving all the time, and they look and work great

            1978 GS1085.

            Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
