Need source for best price for a good V reg 1982 1100E

I am looking for a source for a MOSFET voltage regulator that fits a 1982 GS1100E. I don't want the original type. Does anyone have a good source.

No one wants the original type .......and you don’t want a mosfet either.
Get a series SH-775 unit and spare your stator unnecessary torture.

I thought that the original GS regulator rectifiers were SCR based, and the better ones were MOSFET technology. Does anyone know the tech that the SH775 uses inside.

Posplayr is the member’s username, Nessism has also written much about it and drawn a very simple-to-follow install diagram. They both helped me extensively in changing my RR to a SH 775. Best thing I ever did for my bike, bar none. Don’t bother with anything else. The link in my signature, My charging system sorted, is typical and fairly thorough, with help from the 2 members already mentioned, and others. It should have all the info you need to test your charging system and do what needs done to fix it.

It’s three sets of SCR’s with a proprietary control circuit.....which switches off the SCR’s when it senses the stator power is more than bike needs at that moment
