Nice bike, but it's no FJR.. Chain drive on a sport tour? No center stand? Smallish fuel compacity? I do like the quick shift though.

You are right...the GSX is 100lbs lighter....as for a shaft drive, I have that on my BMW...the chain drive on my GSX I've yet to have had to adjust it after 13,000kms...every time I wash the bike, I clean it...new chains are incredibly low maintenance...and shaft drive does not allow me to fool with gear ratios.....as for fuel capacity. my current gsx is only 17 liters and I get a 325kms range...the new bike has 19 liters...so 200 plus miles....plus the GSX is about 5 grand less the the FJR.
If I was doing mostly two up I might look at an FJR....but I do so much solo quick riding on twisties that the GSX ticks a lot of boxs.
Oh and Suzuki in Canada give a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty....Yamaha...for the matter, no manufacturer offers that.

Sweet looking bike. I could see me trading in my Triumph for that.

I’m going to my dealer today to probably put down a deposit. I’ll keep you posted as to the Canadian price 🙂

Lmao! She knows... it’s funny because my truck looked like it was going to need a transmission so my wife has been telling me to get off my wallet and get a newer truck...my truck is a 96... but the transmission is fine... just a fuel pump that was mimicking transmission slip.
From my wife “you’re a piece of work, you won’t spend any money on a decent truck but you’ll buy a new motorcycle when you’ve got a perfectly good one in the garage “!
Incidentally, today is our 13th anniversary on the day we met LOL. I’m very lucky

                            Exciting, Trevor.

WHen you say "next new bike", I said "hum, yah, has been, what? four months? six months?"

Oh, perhaps you mean "next brand new bike". Okay, yah, has been two or three years for that.

Good. Go for it. Let us share in your excitement.

                            .

I did it! Ordered this morning. Winter to early spring delivery.
I bought the GTA fully loaded. $17,000....$19,800cdn out the door. A lot of bike for that price in my opinion.
Now I have to sell my GSX1000F....
                              I'm so stoked!!
