'77 gs750 wire wheel single front caliper upgrade

my caliper was toast so I'm looking for a swap and upgrade. Salty Monk advised an 82-83 caliper (which I already ordered), but I looked in my cellar at a mess of calipers and nothing would fit the lower legs. Are there any newer calipers that would fit perhaps with a different rotor. And before you say it, I think the salty monk upgrade is a twin disc upgrade (I'm doing it on my '79gs1K).

You can do it with a blackbird rotor & one of the brackets. The blackbird rotor is 310mm. There is no straight bolt-on caliper.

My single disc wire wheel was already drilled for a second disc. I found a used set of fork lowers from a dual disc bike and installed Salty Monk's kit.

Blackbird or CBR900RR 310mm rotors in 23mm offset or 17mm offset + spacer & one of Salty's brackets will get you a great single disc upgrade. Run EBC "HH" fully sintered (metallic) pads, skip the semi sintered & organic. Fully sintered will wear on the rotor faster, but stop exceptionally fast. Semi-sintered is more mild but still stops good enough for most. Organic produces a lot of brake dust & isn't very gripping. Good for old soft iron rotors.
