    79 gs850 Pillion Hancle Cushions

My bike came without a seat"grab rail". Title has a typo should be Handle not Hancle (can't edit)I have been able to find one through a parts recycler but it came with rotted mounting cushions. The cushions part # 46212-49000 are no longer available anywhere but ebay and sellers there are asking 4 times the original price plus 40 Bux for shipping. Ya right 40 dollars to ship something the size of a quarter. Has anyone here come up with an easily made replacement or fix. looking for ideas here as I don't think the exact part is a requirement but it would be nice to have something similar. Thanx for any info

Have a look in car trim suppliers for the same type of rubber mount or even electronic component stores for a suitable rubber grommet that would be close in shape.
    They are out there.

My buddy turned out some hard rubber pads with an indent for the handle stubs on his small lathe and then epoxied proper size washers to the the side that goes against the seat.
Not concours correct but will do the job and only the very anal will be able to tell the difference.
