Will this starter work? 1980 GS550E

Hello everyone. I am on a search for a new starter to replace my original two times rebuilt one from DENSO. Its the two brushes model. The thing is that i found here locally a new one from ARROWHEAD but the descriprion reads gs550 1983 onwards but also gs650 1981-1983. The pictures show a starter identical as the OEM one that i have but i am not sure that it will work and fit due to the model year on the desceiption. The part number is ARROWHEAD SMU0142. And the description of the part reads as follows: PMDD; 12-Volt CCW; 9-teeth
    Shaft Length 23mm
    Shaft Diameter 14.5mm
    Rear Mtg. Holes 6.2mm
    Total OAL 182mm

The starter to the 650 shafties sits down deeper in starter cavity. See attached pic
the starter on left is a 650 version..the one on right is from 550 if I remember correctly.. you might be able to swap end mount

Note the almost identical part numbers
as noted the end bit is likely interchangeable but in doing you'd be using the old bushing not a huge consideration unless i shows wear but an added expense and bother if it is.
