$500 for a second hand crabs? any extra special performance

    Hi ,
May ask why this carbs is so special and would cost up to $500?
Are this one better than the Keihin CR or FCR, Mikuni RS one?

They have been modified extensibly. If you look closely at the bores you can see they have been bored and polished to increase the flow. The passages probably been changed to include an enrichening circuit to add extra fuel on the idle circuit for easier starting.IMHO
If you check other items he has sold you will see a LOT of high-performance and very special parts.

              These ARE Keihin CR's.
They are one of the best carburettors ever made, originally for the factory Honda race bikes. They are not really suitable for a street bike.
The guy who bought them lives in Hamburg, Germany, and is always buying and selling performance parts.
I recently bought a magneto set-up from him.

I can see why he wants to sell them. If I were him I would want to get rid of my "crabs" too! - Dieter
