Bad right grip brake light switch---easy fix!!

I was in a bind on this one and didn't want to wait two weeks for a replacement. After trying to epoxy my old one (don't ask how it broke), I decided to use the ignition interupt found in the left grip! Using a soldering iron, heat the contacts until the wires come off and solder your right side wires to the other, larger connectors. Screw it in place (fits like a glove)...walah!\\/

Don't you want the ignition interupt? I'd like a feature like that.

(Just so's you know... It's "Voila", it's french.)

The brake switch & the clutch switch (Interupt switch) are the same Just swap them & bypass the clutch switch!!
You can unplug the wire you do not need to unsolder them

Yeah, I did that. After trying without soldering, I found the brake light was on without the lever being pulled. I even tried turning it around and the light wouldn't come on until the very end of the braking stroke...hence the resolder. Works like a champ now.

I did that on my 81, worked nice. I think I will do it to my 83 now, just to avoid problems in the future.
