Managed to get out today and grab a few bird shots. A local pond had a dozen or so Trumpeter Swans arrive and while I was there this Canada Jay showed up to check out what I was doing.

Nice composition on both Sandy. The swans were most cooperative.

Turned out pretty cool for an accidental shot. I was either putting in or getting the camera out of the tank bag while out this afternoon.

Very nice Scott; I like the way the clouds seem to stay inline even in the mirror

                        That is nice.
Scott, i like how you were able to get some lighting on a part of the waterwheel that I would expect to be in shadow.

I've been in somewhat of a slump lately. I've checked out a few new spots, but nothing great. The time change has made it tough for after work pics. I went out today and tried some more.
Not much good today either, but I did get a couple of keepers.

                            Random photo...of a painting

Here's a painting one of our kids did for my wife many years ago. I finally made a frame for it using some funky boards from a pallet.

The boards must have been stacked together in the weather since the mineral stains are the same on each board. I tried to get a mirror image in the frame. Wife's happy, so I'm happy. haha

Here's how the joints stay together.

Went for an outing a couple of days ago to look for these old bread ovens used by the work crews in the late 1800's when the railway was being built here. At over 120 years old they were in amazing condition. There are several in the area that are way more accessible and have fallen into considerable disrepair over the years. Luckily these are quite hidden in a fairly thick forested area with no trails to them so only a few know where they are. If one didn't see the opening you would just think it was a pile of rocks
