Out on Lake Erie, waves can be 10' or more.

wave heights on the Great Lakes are greatly limited. Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes, experiences the highest waves, topping out at about 30 feet. Marine forecasters at the National Weather Service office in Romeoville say the highest waves on Lake Michigan are 20-23 feet in height.Feb 10, 2017

No activity at this boat ramp park on the river.

Am getting close to thinking this isn't a reasonable thing to do.
          But then, ah, so what.

Couple rides today since was near 50degF this afternoon.

Got pics of a couple thing unique to the area

Saw coast guard boat going out. I wondered what thier mission was today.
Watched the guys up in the pilot house (if that is what it is called) with the boat pitching and rocking. I was thinking that if I were there, I probably would not make it out the channel, would be on my hands and knees puking my guts out. Maybe that was the mission, see which new recruit even makes it out to the big lake.
Oh, see the boat house across the channell? Has 3 or 4 bays thaat open up to the river channel. That is the original coast guard station from back in something like the 1880s when it was the Life Saving Corps or something like that.

            The road by the beach.
Has been windy the last few days, winds from the west (the usuall, that or northwest) with sand blowing from the beach, across parking lot, onto the road. Some times can be a a 2-3 inches of sand most the way across the road, sometimes even more. On windy days I know to approach from direction that I can see ahead, and turn around if need to. City crews try to keep the road clear by plowing or scooping it to the side into parking spaces. Then later load into dump trucks and haul back to beach. So have these dump trucks and front end loaders operating in the street sometimes. Local folks know to go around them when can.

THen took ride out south of town along lake shore.
With trees bare, can see the duneland more

Always like seeing your posts on the water verge Redman

We certainly have polar opposite weather right now! We had a perfect spring day yesterday for our Saturday morning ride. Lots of fun, very little traffic, and another attendee on his "stock" GSX1100 as well.

Well I got the monkey off my back yesterday. Took my new bike out for a small ride..a bit difficult to get my leg over and the higher pegs were hard on my hip...and my back was pretty sore....other than that it felt great....lol...
And I went back to the 4 way stop that I got smoked at...went through it twice...that felt good too.

It was a beautiful day in the PNW, not a cloud in the sky and 50's. Took the Corvette to fill up with ethanol free, did some yard work, and went for a ride on the 1260. This thing is brutal now after the RS carbs. Throttle is Off or Hang the F*$k on....
