A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I am hoping 3rd time is a charm! My two previous orders for this gasket has yielded me a 20 bolt pattern gasket. I need a 24 bolt pattern.

I am going to try Parts fish this time: 11173-49224-H17

Their parts fiche doesn't give you a view of the bolt pattern. If you type the above part number in ebay, the gaskets that come up are the 20 bolt pattern.

What is going on here!!?

The dealers all use the same basic parts fiche handed to them. I poked around on ebay- all the gaskets were 20 bolt patterns, but you might stumble across a seller who has the 24 bolt unit.

Thanks for your replies. I placed an order with RonAyers. I added a note with my order stating the correct cover needed. The OEM parts industry has a lot of room for improvement.

bear in mind there will not be 24 "holes" in the gasket, 4 of the bolts seal with washers on top of the valve cover.

they are the ones on the inside of the outboard sides (if that makes sense). the gasket has some, half-circle shape round parts there. the ones in the ebay photos look correct to me.

The one I recently received has a 16 bolt pattern which I now understand is for a 20 bolt cover. The one I need is a 20 bolt pattern for a 24 bolt/screw cover. Got it!

Thank you.
