A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Still not hot enough. Though with his set-up shoving a dyno or EGA type sniffer up the head pipe is very effective and each cylinder can be tuned independently. Also most automotive shops have EGA machines. Not tryin to be argumentitive, but the exhaust stream is just not hot enough that close to the exit to make an O2 sensor function.

what if you preheated it?? That might be stupid but if you could get it hot enough to function long enough to get a reading....

BTW Shoeless congrats on that sweet cafe. Especialy dig the intake manifold.

Thanks man, it's first project bike and I'm having a blast. Hell it's not even running yet and I still love it. I can't wait till I can get it out on the road.

Sorry I can't really offer any advice on tuning. Just wanted to say that the bike looks sweet. Love the intake manifold, the paint and the whole look. Two thumbs up.

Thanks mate, I think when I rejet I'm goin to pull the carbs and intake, at which point I'm pretty sure I'm going to repaint the intake glass black instead of flat. Now the the frame and tank are gleaming it just needs to match. And all my covers (crankcase, stator, etc) are also going to be black. All in good time.

I think my favorite thing about my bike is when I show it to people, even seasoned riders, I always get the same response, "What is it?". To me, the mark of a truly customized bike is when it's so different nobody knows what the hell it started out as.

There must be O2 sensors out there that don't require as much heat as an automotive sensor...

The reason I say this is that the Staintune pipe I have on my VFR comes with a sensor "bung" in the mid-pipe, before the can, and after the OEM collector.

If the inserted sensor they use on dyno machines works, I'd imagine there must be other types of thread-in sensors available....

Actually I think there is because when I was reading through that article I posted a link earlier in the thread it was saying something about Titania O2 senssors. Supposedly they work faster because they warm up quicker

Sweet!

I'd like to get my hands on a Two Bros. left exit high-mount for the old girl, but they seem to be even more rare than a pipe for my 750ES :)

Great pipe, though - throaty sound, and an excellent finish.
