A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

HI,
just got this bike and it already had no fairings so I'm making a 'cafe racer', naked type bike. I plan on cutting the seat down as it is a couch right now. Anyway just thought I would post a few...

heres the tailpiece, used carbonfiber and bonded it. I plan on running 2 round led multi-taillights.

I plan on flush mounting the lights, I dont plan on running any side markers so I want some side visability. thx

i like it

i like it

with the flush mount taillights it should look pretty sweet.:-D have you thought about making it a solo seat bike or maybe fabing a cowl for the pass seat to give it a solo look :-si think it would be very nice that way thats just my 2 cents anyways.8-[ keep going we want to see more be good and god bless:-D

I am in a dilemma about that. My wife wants to be able to ride sometimes so I would have to keep the 'big' seat (shes not big, just the seat :-D ) I am trying to figure out a cover that would be removable. -OR- I could just make a new seatpan and swap out seats, either solo or 2up.
Thanks!

There are always 700 seats on eBay.

Take one pan and build a cafe boat tail with half-seat on one pan, then keep the other stock.

You'll need to cut your frame under the rear seat, but press and drill the ends so you can bolt the removed peice back on when you want to convert back.

Or just have your stock seat reshaped like mine below!!!!!!

One other thing....

If that 700 has the steel fender-liner like the 750, I hope you made new brackets to support the brake light.

Don't know how heavy the light is that you're planning on using, but I shaved my fender, trimmed the steel liner, and remounted my tail. About 1000 miles later due to road vibration, the steel fender broke and I had to fab up a new support for my brake light.

May not have any bearing on your situation if the lights you're going to use are light, but just thought I'd share.

What are you going to do about the tank? The sidecover overlap/mount area will be kinda funky lookin' without sidecovers...
