Has anyone used a paint that matches the OEM closely?

Try some VHT Satin Black caliper paint. Bake as instructed at 200F and the stuff is very durable and really, really, close to stock. I understand it doesn't standup well if you don't bake it but I've never tried it that way.'84 GS750EF (Oct 2015 BOM) '79 GS1000N (June 2007 BOM) -

Rustoleum (brushed) can work but you need to mix gloss and semigloss to match the original patina. It needs time to harden too. Just being dry isn't enough.Comment

Awesome, been meaning to do this for a while with some of my control stuff but was putting it off due to not knowing which paint to use!1980/1981 GS450 - GS500 Cylinder + Piston Swap - "De-L'ed", custom seat, CB350 bits, 18" rear, etc.
