A +1 on this and no it does not hold up well unbakedOriginally posted by Sandy View PostTry some VHT Satin Black caliper paint. Bake as instructed at 200F and the stuff is very durable and really, really, close to stock. I understand it doesn't standup well if you don't bake it but I've never tried it that way.

I used this one:

On all the MC's / bars / top clamp on this FJ:

And it came up sweet. No primer. No baking. Spilt a LOT of brake fluid on the MC's getting them back together
.....but no peeling!
Current:
Z1300A5 Locomotive (swapped my Intruder for it), GS450 Cafe Project (might never finish it....), XT500 Commuter (I know - it's a Yamaha )
Past:
VL1500 Intruder (swapped for Z1300), ZX9R Streetfighter (lets face it - too fast....), 1984 GSX750EF, 1984 GSX1100EF (AKA GS1150)
And a bunch of other crap Yamahas....

Awesome, been meaning to do this for a while with some of my control stuff but was putting it off due to not knowing which paint to use!1980/1981 GS450 - GS500 Cylinder + Piston Swap - "De-L'ed", custom seat, CB350 bits, 18" rear, etc.
