PO did a bad Kreem job.. now what?

I'm seeing rust developing around the tank cap inlet.
The interior doesn't look too bad. He just didn't coat
the area around the cap for some gosh darn reason.

Is it safe to reapply Kreem after the tank has been
drained and dried? Could I just apply it to the area
around the inlet and leave the rest as is?

If you read somewhere in the kreem kit directions, it does tell you how to reapply the coating to an already kreemed tank. I believe you need to rinse the tank with acetone or MEK before redoing it. It does say in the directions though. If you can't find it e-mail me and I will try to dig out the old directions from when I did my tank last summer: zachary_zisman@hotmail.com

Yes you can reapply. When I did the tank on my old Honda I made the mistake of tossing out the Kreme. The directions tell you to funnel the excess back into the bottle. That way you can reuse it if you have to reseal it.

I think POR 15 makes something that will remove botched Kreem jobs so you can start over.
