    Another Sonic Springs Nightmare!

Even with the somewhat questionable customer service reviews I had read, I ordered a set of Sonic Springs on April 28th.

The money came out of my account on the 29th and I received an email stating that the order had been accepted by Sonic. (All good so far!)

I sent an email on 5/2 requesting a status of when I could expect the shipment. - NO RESPONSE!

I left a voicemail on 5/5 asking for info once again. - NO RESPONSE!
I sent an email on 5/5 at 4:30pm asking for the same info and got an email reply that the springs were being produced to replenish inventory and they expected them to ship sometime that week. (Sound familiar?)

I left for a motorcycle trip on the 14th without any springs, or update on a shipping date.

I sent another email on 5/19 at 9:15 am, asking if the springs had shipped and if I had missed their email. - NO RESPONSE
I left a voicemail on 5/19 at 4:15 requesting the info and at 4:30 I got a text message stating that the shop had been closed the past week due to a family emergency and my order would ship on 5/19.

So basically, I've waited 3 weeks for them to ship my order, one that they promised to ship a week and a half ago!

The sad part of this is that I put the following postscript on my email to them:

"Good customer service keeps customers; bad customer service keeps them away!"

Evidently, they have enough business and don't need mine, as I will be buying my springs from Race Tech in the future!

“Family emergency” or not, they could have sent a quick message:
” having an emergency situation here, will ship your order in about a week.”

I got some springs from Sonic for my 1100E. There was a small delay, but he wrote me to say he was at a race event and would get back to me, which he did. I got the springs and asked some questions, he was helpful. Maybe it's just a side hustle? The product was good, and he answered my questions, all of which were due to my ignorance. Maybe it's just a matter of little volume and a gig that doesn't pay much. I dunno. I can't make those springs myself and for the price I am satisfied, despite the initial delay. What choice did I have anyway?

Well........... still no tracking number email. Makes me wonder if they actually shipped my springs yesterday as promised. (I'm betting not!)

"IF" they did, how long does it take to email the tracking info?

A real lesson on how to NOT do customer service!

I wonder if it's a case of someone selling an item that they don't have in stock, then they need to buy it and get it delivered to them?

I sent another email requesting the tracking number this afternoon.

We shall see if I get a response!

Race Tech. That's where I got the fork springs for my 1100E.

Update: Well......I got an email tonight at 8.36pm telling me the tracking number of my order.

Checked the UPS website, and it shows the tracking number, but they don't have the package yet! Looks like it wasn't shipped on Monday as promised!

Looks to me like Sonic Springs should be teaching a Master Class in how to pi$$ off customers!
