Tire Patch Kit

I bought this tire patch kit when I visited NJ last week.

My buddy picked up a nail in the left front tire of is car and his jack was broken. My briefcase happened to be in the car and it contained the tire patch kit. So I got to use it for the first time, not on a bike but on a car (fortunately a front tire allowing the hose to reach it from a cylinder). It works great! The patch-insertion tool and supplied plug worked fine. Took about 8-minutes to inflate the car tire to a pressure acceptable for driving (no pressure gauge with us).
Arriving home I find it fits nicely under the seat of my bike ready for emergencies.
I can therefore recommend this very affordable ($10.99) equipment.
Oh, and I also bought a set of these neat valve caps that warn of low tire pressures

Good to get some experience with installing the plug on a car tire first. That's the only trick to it.
