    Widder Enterprises to Close Doors

    If you have any Widder gear that needs warranty work you better get it soon. Wonder if they will have any going-out-of-business sales? I have a pair of their older style 'Lectric Gloves and am very happy with them. Hate to see them go out of business.

    ===================================

    One of the best-known producers of heated gear for motorcyclists will close it?s doors at the end of 2008. In an email to a motorcycling mailing list, Pat Widder of Widder Enterprises announced the difficult decision to close the company after 37 years:
    After a 37 year run, Joyce and I made the decision his past summer. We are staying open this year to cover any warranty issues and sell the remaining inventory. It was a hard decision because of the thousands of great people we have met through the years, but the main reason is we are ready to do other things now that our sons have been raised.

    Why wouldn't they just sell it to someone else?
