In an effort to get to the bottom of my lack of oil pressure in the 550 project I decided to get a proper oil pressure tester. I had cobbled together one but I was skeptical of its functionality so I started searching around.
Sadly, I couldn't locate anything up here, not even in the automotive stores but a quick check on the HarbourFreight site found this : http://www.harborfreight.com/engine-...kit-98949.html
Now admittedly a lot of the products they carry are not known to be of the best quality but for the money I thought I'd give it a try. My riding buddy was making a trip to Buffalo yesterday and I prevailed upon her to grab me one. Being a good pal, she dutifully sourced one and somehow managed to sweet talk the clerk into reducing the price a bit more and got it for only $15. Got to love feminine wiles if they can save you money
Now the kit is fairly comprehensive and looks well enough made but I guess the proof is in the pudding so I'll check it out tonight.
