1979 GS550 parts availability in Europe

Hi Everyone, I'm in the UK and looking at buying a 1979 GS550L project to strip and re-build. I believe the L is a US model, so I wanted to see if anyone knows what the availability of parts is like in the UK or Europe?

Another question I have is that other than the seat, forks and rear shocks, am I relatively safe in assuming I'll be able to use parts from the E models on the L bike? As far as I'm aware the differences between them were relatively minimal.

TIA - any advice much appreciated.

L model chassis is different from the E. Seats, tank, etc don't interchange. Motor parts are the same.
