Back to the future with a GSX

Been reading about the new GSX-8X. I'm a huge fan of Kevin Cameron, have read his tech articles forever. Suzuki is in the 270 parallel twin game now and using a familiar batch of letters - well, for European and Australian anyway, GSX goes way back. Having ridden every type of bike, from screaming turbos to wheezing singles, I definitely like a twin for simplicity, packaging, power delivery etc. But oh gawd, the vibration. Well, hmm. That is solvable.

It seems to me, the consummately ignorant yet always learning one, that the 270 degree twin is becoming de facto. Sorta like the 2.0 liter 4 in cars, it hits the sweet spot.

Bigger parallel twins are getting quite popular, and this one from Suzuki looks like a good one. This would be high on my want list, if I were to get a new bike.
