    1985 GS700ES dying at idle?

Got an 85 GS700ES recently, it runs decent enough, been sitting for years. Me and my buddy got it running but it has a hard time idling. It'll idle fine, but then you'll hear RPMs dip, and it'll sorta slowly stall. We have the idle set to about 1500 with the bike warm and the choke closed. This also happens when I put it into gear, more often than not theres just a little dip in RPMs but then it just sorta dies out.

If you haven't done anything to clean up or rebuild the carburetors, I would start there. Rebuilding the carbs including o-rings and replacing the intake boots that mount the carbs to the intake. Do all of that and I bet it will be running great in no time!
