Need a good navigation app for Iphone

I am seeking the GSR hives' input on a navigation app to use with my iPhone when on the bikes. I did a search but most of the results that I found were from a while back, and of course, technology does change!

Can anyone recommend a good app that works well for planning and tracking routes?

What do you use? What do you like and dislike about it?

    TIA

I've used Calimoto. It has options to select all different terrains and roads windy, twisty, highway. Plan and map routes, and track rides. To get the map options for super twisty routes it requires a subscription payment, but it is pretty good free as well

For day to day, point A to B, I use Waze regularly. Tells me where (some) cops and hazards are. I can set the settings to avoid tolls or freeways, allow unpaved roads, etc.

I have played with Calimoto and really like it so far but need to play more. Don't know if I want it's advanced features enough to want to pay for it.

Another app I just installed is Detecht, but I don't know much about it yet. But I believe it's Similar to Calimoto.

I am also interested to read about any apps others may use.

              Yeah Rich,

I'm playing around with Calimoto when I can. Seems like I've been spending to much time on the Honda Barko-lounger lately and it doesn't have a phone holder. I'm hopeful that I get it figured out before Brown County! I want to track some of those routes.

This app is apparently still alive and kickin' ...

Scenic iPhone GPS navigation finally lets riders import custom GPX routes with voice guidance. Weekend rides turn into smooth, guided runs.

Right now I'm testing out three different apps to see which one works best for me. I've got Scenic, Eat Sleep Ride and Calimoto loaded on my iPhone.

The hardest part is navigating within the apps to get to where I can track and save my rides. (Having 3 different apps which are all very different is a PITA!)

Very early result is that the Scenic app seems to fit my needs better than the others, but I'm going to use all three this week at Brown County and see which one wins out.

Thanks to all for the input!
