    SV650 vs GS series interchange

Are there any parts from a 2001 Suzuki SV650 that would fit on an ‘81 GS bike? There’s one for sale in my area dirt cheap. I was thinking the front forks and brakes would be worth it if they’re compatible with our bikes.

    1981 Suzuki GS750E

    Past Bikes:

    2006 Suzuki C50

Depends on how you define "compatible". A better word might be "adaptable".

Regarding the forks/brakes, the SV guys used to ditch those forks and install GSXR forks and brakes. And GS bikes are much heavier, so not sure about the damping rates.

Gotcha…it was a passing thought. I noticed the calipers were a dual piston I believe. That part caught my attention as the gs is only a single.

I'm fairly certain the valve caps will be a direct fit
