I had opened my shed but didn't pick up any tools. Though the sun came out for about 5 minutes it rained and hailed, 6.4mm. Temp got to a balmy 9 °C today. I have no motivation to do anything except look at them.IMG-20180805-05969 - Copy.jpg Hopefully the weather will clear when I'm not working and I get something done, or get out for a ride.

Only twice before have I ever seen 2 GKs at the same time.

And your picture seems to have 3 (well at least the fairing on the 3rd).

Had 850G for 14 years. Now have GK since 2005.

Put the carbs back on a 2003 750 V-twin Honda. I hope I never see this thing again.

Getting the bug to tinker with the GS850G again. Finally got the carbs reassembled. Need to order the proper feeler gauges for the valve check. Once the valve check is done I can get the carbs back in and make sure shes a runner then move on to rebuilding the brakes and cleaning up the electrical system.

Yes I have 3 now, complete. It seems I am starting a small fleet haha. But one has been dropped so needs repair. Sadly the K stuff is damaged a bit but is good for parts. IMG-20180525-05708 - Copy.jpg

Maybe you have some turnover in your stock of bikes.
In post #6633 I see 3 GK fairings but 2 GK trunks of 3 bikes. In post #6637 I see 2 GK fairings and 3 trunks of 3 bikes.

Replaced my front signals - one broke on my trip.
It was nice replacing with new and not having to cobble together bits of old ones I have on hand, but even though they are short stalk ones they still stick out too far for my liking. I had the old ones nice and tucked in. It's fine for the summer though. I did have to mess with the wiring though. The replacements had bullet cnnectors, the bike had a plastic 3 pin plug.

The K&S replacents are dead ringers for stock. If one were to use the a Suzuki labelled lens, it would be hard to even notice.

They are all there. #1 and #2 are complete with all GK stuff fitted on bikes in both pics.
I had taken the second pic #6637, earlier, as I was pulling the GK stuff off of GK #3.
Pic #6633 the 3rd GK is second row, between the Buell and the Ducati.
With another gs (Silver) behind the #2 GK. Blue gs850 in front.
Ahh.. I think that covers it. haha!
There's always room for one more!
I have been looking at Triumphs for many years now and had ridden one years ago. I liked it but bought a Buell instead.
It seems I am missing a British bike here and the posts by Jedz make me want one even more. 14000miles in three months! Amazing.

I'm loving my "new" bike but I'm not a fan of the big ass fenders.

So I ordered a spare banged up fender from eBay and started cutting it yesterday.

Front is going to get replaced with a smaller fender off of a Shadow Spirit. Also going to be replacing the wheels with spokes. Also planning on lowering the rear an inch or so with shorter shocks.

I adjusted my clutch. Never ceases to amaze how the tiny bit of wear translates into a major hand lever movement. On 2 hundredths of an inch per plate for total wear.
Nice linear engagment now. Smooth as silk. Lubricated silk. Made from very sophisticated worms.

Just watched the video on Youtube; looks like a pretty cool bike! You need to figure out how to strap the camera to your body (or the bike) and take us all for a ride on it!

I'll take you for a ride! But I'll need a plate to take it on the road...maybe around the property!

Checked the valves on the 82 barn find. Ordered up 5 new shims. Went and picked up some cheap Supertech 10W40 for a flush when I finally get the thing running and some Rotella for the GS1000.
