Hopefully. It only lost 4 lbs overnight. I called a local cycle shop yesterday and they have mushroom plug kits. Fingers crossed.

When I travel I always carry this. Haven't got a clue if it works as I haven't had to use it. Around town ? BCAA card at the ready......

Don't forget a good set of pliers if not in your tool kit to yank out the screw, nail or foreign object. I kept the roadside kit that came with my old K100. Three CO2, couple of thread plugs, razor and flexible neck unit to screw/puncture the air can when attaching to valve stem. I have the metal handle tool with a handsize grip. You will need something sturdy to insert plug depending on age and thickness of tire. That key looking plug in your kit looks like it may snap off prematurely when inserting or pushing plug in? Oh and that air valve attachment thingie in your kit, if straight and not flexible, may be a bear to line up the air can. Rotors, rim design etc....may get in the way renedering it useless or a bugger to fiddle with. Used my "kit" once on my Bandit rear tire. I actually used 2 plugs because of the cut size in the tire, but it worked like a charm to get 30 miles home, under 100mph of course. Don't leave home without it on longer trips. If it's a slow leak you're better off leaving it alone til you get somewhere better than the roadside to deal with the tire.

Good advice. I've been meaning to pick up a pair of these as well. Just haven't gotten around to it....

Well I picked up the plug kit after class and was admonished by the sales guy that I should replace the tire.......Anyway, I rode to the Wawa (gas and convenience store) with a free air island. After figuring out how the kit works, I successfully installed the plug after 2 tries, and aired up the tire from the air station, saving the CO2 cartridges. I splashed some water on it from the squeege bucket. No bubbles. I then rode back to the hotel and checked again. So far so good. Fingers crossed.

When I was young and extremely stupid. I rode from Toronto to Vancouver via the States with a completely bald tire that wouldn't hold air because the cord was showing through. Filled it full of that foam crap and made it all the way. I guess I should change that to young, stupid and extremely lucky.... LOL
