    There may be black Allen heads in there - it'd hard to tell - if so, they mimic what the bar clamps look like when you remove the bolts

      Not really a 'funny' but posting because it looks like someone treated this GS just right, and it has a totally fair price, almost like it was someone from GSR selling it!

      Classic 1980 Suzuki GS1000GL - $2000

      Selling my classic 1980 Suzuki GS1000 GL, complete, fully functional and in great shape. This bike is a shaft drive, so no messy chain to lubricate or adjust. This bike also has a stock fuel gauge and gear indicator.

      Carburetors rebuilt and synchronized;
      Brake pads;
      Saddleman seat;
      New Intake O-rings
      New Intake Boots;
      Valve clearances reset
      New Carb/airbox boots
      New Petcock ;
      Ignition relay installed;
      No oil leaks, electrical in great working
      This is a great classic style bike for cruising around town or heading out on the open road. Great for beginners or seasoned riders.

                  No expense spared, includes 18" air horn.

                  This started at $8000 and continues to drop.

                  Who buys this crap?

                    If he would have only taken care of the usual things on that bike (which he said he paid almost nothing for), he could have easily sold it for $1,800 with minimal investment. Cosmetically, it was pretty much perfect.

                    Here's the funny thing about these abominations that people call "bobbers". The intelligence level of the person who might actually want to buy one precludes their ability to generate the revenue required to pay cash for a bike if it costs more than a few hundred dollars.

                    In other words, there is no market for these things, none. Idiots see them listed on Craigslist like this, and assume that they actually bring the prices they're listed at. I've watched several ebay auctions for these things, they never bring more than $1,100 or so, and most don't make reserve at that price.

                    I'm done mincing words anymore, these bobber guys are just f***ing morons.

                    No brain, no headache. Dude that built this is brainless.
