Hmm.... $75.00 worth of wood, $25.00 worth of paint and a few hours labour, put a Harley logo on it. $1,800 sounds about right. I'm surprised he didn't put the little chrome Harleys on the bedposts, then he could get $2,500 for it.

Your point is well taken, the KBB does not reflect older bikes, especially ones becoming collectable. very well

But, a 93 Katana is $1,500-2,000 all day long and definitely not collectable

The bad thing about those KBB, or NADA, valuations are that they guide banks on what they will loan on bikes. May be used to base an insurance claim as well. For truly collectable bikes that can be a problem.

                            1980 suzuki gs 850
Runs great never had any problems but i have barely used it. Its taking up space in my garage.
No baffles so very loud but looks like they were just screwed in and there is no damage from them being removed.
Large ape hanger bars and iron cross taillight other than that everything looks factory.
Some cracks in the seat and tires have good tread but weathered on the walls of the tires.
Had it serviced and carb cleaned all fluids changed.
Shaft drive and 80 000 km( i think around there i will have to double check)

Missed the RARE RARE RARE but............................
