    Yes I did!

As expected, getting back up the driveway was the hardest part.

49° now.....I would have gone out for a put...but my giant frozen hill of a driveway is impassible. Sad face.

Took the Katana out for a blast today...

... first time she's been out in 2014! Last ride was Christmas Day... I've been neglecting her in favour of the modern hussies this winter.

Always love a good Kat pic!

And speaking of Kats... the Katana Australia State of Origin ride was this weekend. Most members stayed overnight in Nambucca Heads but this year again I only went south as far as Casino and turned back.

Weather wasn't quite perfect but close to it, some showers and a spot of rain in the morning but that was all.

Had some minor dramas along the way with one Kat's speedo cable falling out (easy fix), then another Kat's exhaust bracket braking (easy fix with two cable ties) and then the same Kat losing a piece of the gear linkage (easy fix just ride it in 5th) and then two fuse issues... one on a Kat and one on my 450 while returning home solo up a steep hill

Going by photos from the other guys, 16 Kats made the journey to Nambucca Heads, pretty impressive! 7 Queensland Kats made the journey.

          Meeting at Rocklea:

Unscheduled stop at Rathdowney to re-attach the speedo cable:

At the border between Queensland and New South Wales before turning back to discover the broken exhaust bracket and lost gear change linkage:

And the culprit that left me stranded most of the way up a steep climb by myself for a bit until I worked out what was wrong... the fuse hadn't actually blown initially and was causing misfiring and my Acewell dash to flicker on and off... losing enough power I couldn't get up the hill:

Toop nice a day to stay in the garage, so the GS and I hit the road. First though the wetlands conservation area to the historic Citie of Henricus. Blue heron, geese, ducks, coal plant... Everything you could need.

Then it was off to a little lane that the locals call Snake Road. 2 miles of twisties with some sweeping curves and a one lane bridge just to keep it interesting. So much fun that I rode it twice.
            The start of Snake Road:

And just before the the last sequence of switchbacks:

Then on the way home my clutch cable snapped, and of course nobody was open that can get me a replacement because it's Sunday. Guess my day is over after only 40 miles, but it was a fun 40 miles.

I finally got out for a ride today. My bike's been stored about 100 miles away from where I go to school so I haven't been able to work on it very much. I finally got it into riding condition and today is the warmest it's going to be for a while so Idecided to find a ride down and then took my bike up to school. It was pretty warm, but there were still some chilly parts. Here's a pic I took about 75% done with the ride.

I took off for El Paso on I-54 South...roughly 40 miles south then turned around and headed back to Alamogordo, NM. Really enjoyed opening her up today!

My wife, Simone, and I went for a tour today... passed Trevor on the Malahat on his K-bike with a vintage GS in tow.

Figured I'd post up the pics here since my B-King is a GS(X).

You guys are so predictable! You went exactly to where I told Rosemary you would go. Mind you, on the Island here, we don't have too many choices!

Temperature was up to 14 here in town, looks like both you and Mr & Mrs Hayabuser had a great ride.

Brown 1981 GS850G. My first GS. I never loved it, but I sure learned to respect it.

Old Valdez town site. They had to move the town after the 1964 earth quake. It was a bike that did everything reasonable well, it was cheap, and it was no trouble. Brown though...
