    Wow! A beautiful bike.
Wonder what it'll be like to see these sort of bikes in 2050 or thereabouts

      Nice pictures Steve,
I walked the dufferin islands with the family this summer really close to the falls but quite quiet.I'm not a Clifton hill fan. I really liked the Toronto power building.

Hi Guys. I took my Suzuki to the annual All Clubs Day in Stockbridge, MI a couple of weeks ago. There were probably half a dozen CBXs there, this one was the "baddest". He had some pretty major coin invested in this bike, but it sure was nice!

I rode to a weekend conference this morning, about 80 miles on lovely lovely country roads of southern Ohio: 141, 775, 790, 218 (west to east between Ironton, OH and Gallipolis, OH). I threw my luggage in a storage bin I bolted to the luggage rack. The straps make sure the lid doesn't open, plus they are a brace against the windforce on the front side of the bin. I wanted a storage bin that I could put some gear in, and a backpack, and a suit and a briefcase, and I didn't want to wrestle with strapping stuff on.

This picture was either from 775 or 790, I think 790.

Kerrfunk: you're a dedicated rider, aren't you? That storage bin probably didn't do a think for your aerodynamics, but it got all your stuff there! Those really are lovely roads.

              Small world, Marc.
A friend and i hiked the same area during March Break. Also went to the small flower greenhouse directly across from the Hydro building. Surprisingly good place.
She had never been to the Falls before so that was fun to experience again with a newbie.

Another gorgeous day, riding home from the workshop I attended. I traced some of my route back, and found a few different roads as well.

That moth thing gave me nightmares, lol!

Steve, I saw a CBX riding through Madrid, NM a couple of weeks ago. Walking down the road with my wife I stopped and turned, gooning at it. She was like, what are you...... oooh, that's cool!

Roger, they do tend to draw attention.
It is fun sometimes at a coffee shop to sit nearby and listen to the comments.

I saw a news item yesterday on The Balloon Fiesta. It looked spectacular.
Is that something you take in or do the locals mostly stay away?

Thanks for asking about Fiesta. Folks around here either love it or hate it. Most I'd say enjoy the balloons but it gets pretty crowded at the park. We chose to chase balloons on the bikes this year. Left the house at 7 am and found a spot near Balloon Fiesta Park. Once they launch and reveal the wind direction at different altitudes, we find a real good spot. Being on the field walking among the balloons is a phenomenal experience. Once they launch it's breathtaking, but depending on the wind, or lack there of, it can get boring quickly staying in one spot, or not.
We have what's called "the box" in balloonist's language. Cold air drains down the Rio Grande valley slowly carrying balloons Southward, over the city. As they gain altitude, the wind up above typically blows North. If a pilot hits "the box" they can launch and fly for quite a while and land in the same spot or close to it. Yesterday there was a 6-10 mph breeze that carried them South. We parked a half mile South of the field and enjoyed a steady river of balloons from one spot. Here's a shot of my wife when we got there.

Didn't go for much of a ride today (only about 12 miles each way) but it was nice anyway. I rode to the DQ in Dexter, MI for probably the last time this season. On the way back, I took the Huron River Rd, which (surprisingly enough) parallels the Huron River. It's a really pretty ride - especially this time of year. Fall is in full swing up here. On my way out of Ann Arbor, I stopped at a Senior Center to take some more shots. Here's one of the better ones.....

I took the GS today and the balloons went Northwest toward Corrales and Rio Rancho. So much fun chasing them.
